Is the peugeot 206 suitable for a driver of 6ft?

im thinking of buying a peugeot 206 but have heard reports of bad seating for the drivers position. Its all very well sitting in one at a garage but I would like to know how it is for lengthy periods to drive. I am 6ft 1, does anyone of a similar height have experience of driving one ?|||my hubby is 6ft 2 and found it ok, he said he couldnt exactly sit up straight cos he had spikey hair but when he didnt he was fine, we had it for over a year so im guessing it was ok for him, maybe test drive one see how u feel good luck x|||I have over the years driven both a 306 and a 206, the 306 although slightly older had a much better seating position, i was far higher and much more comfortable with the overall position and adjustments that can be made. I drove a 206 on a journey from southampton to coventry and back (to n from uni) and found the position uncomfortable to the extent of back pain and leg cramps. Im not saying that you should buy a 306 but if it is a reliable, cheap peugeot that you are after you can still get late 2000 early 2001 306 models in decent condition with all the extras you would expect from the 206 with the added room benifit. I myself now drive a red 2000 306 meridan which set me back just over 2k including air con, leather interior, alloys etc - hope this helps|||I have owned a 206 for 2 years I am smaller than you at 5-10 and I findthe driving position difficult. Not because of height I need to have the seat position right back get comfortable on long journey. This of course reduces the seat space in the back and adults have not got enough room in the back in this position. Also Ifind the pedal position awkward..size 9 feet !!.....the accelerator pedal is fine the clutch however is so close to the steering column that the outside and inside of my feet touch the well wall and the column...other than that it's the "drive of your life"..!!!!!...hope this helps|||I have a friend who has a 206, I'm 6ft but struggled to get comfortable. My head only just fitted in and was brushing the roof. Think you might be better getting something bit bigger.|||A 6ft 1 friend of mine has had one for a year and he's very happy, it's his first car and believe me he certainly would complain if he had any cause He's done several 100 mile trips without a single moan!

Where do I get spare keys for Peugeot 406?

I have just bought a used Peugeot 406 that came with a single key without the remote central locking part.

What do I need to do to get the remote central locking up and running?|||Peugeot UK can give you your key code - you might have this on a card already somewhere (credit card size, normally with the service docs). When they give you a code you'll need to order a key through them - I forget how much it is - we used to get it 拢25 at trade, but that was a while ago...





Its not the blade thats tricksy, but the transponder thingmy inside the key...|||ask peugeot or it s agent or ask a mechanic as well.|||dealership or a locksmith

How do you find out if a peugeot 206 has a fly-by-wire throttle?

Hey i have a 2003 on and 03 plate Peugeot 206 LX auto [ac] 1400cc, and would like to know whether it has the tradition throttle cable or whether it is fly-by-wire, and how i would be able to check? thanks in advance.|||look under the hood toward the back of the engine compartment , if it has a throttle cable you will see the linkage attached to the throttle body . if not you will only see a wiring harness

Where is the iat sensor on a peugeot 106 please ?

hi.i am trying to find the inlet air temperature sensor on my peugeot 106 1.1 independance.i understand it should be neer the air system and only have two wires connected to it,but all i can find is plugs with more then two wires.i can see some pugs with two wires but they are connected to the engine.any ideas please.|||It is located either in the rubber tube that runs from the air filter box to the engine or in the air filter box itself.|||under the throtle body. disconnect the battery before you disconnect is as you will have ecu problems if you dont.

Should I buy a performance improving micro-chip kit for my Diesel Peugeot?

I have a Peugeot 1007 with the 1.4HDi engine. I've seen micro-chip kits for this engine that are supposed to improve the performance without affecting engine reliability. Does anyone have any advice? Are they any good? What would you recommend? Thanks.|||No, leave it alone. The kits will tell you all sorts of nonsense, they make little difference and invalidate your warranty. The little 1.4 is built for economy not speed, trade it in for a 2.0 HDI if you want a faster diesel!!|||I know its stating the obvious, but why not simply buy a 1.6 diesel? The kit will invalidate your insurance. It's in the same league insurance wise as go faster wheels, or a loud exhaust that will make you go quicker, apparantly.

It's good advice to change its cam belt after a full service (oil, air-filter, batt. check, etc.)|||you should at least change it at least every 50 thousand miles,,just to be safe,,anything over and it might get you in a spot where you cant change it,,or worse it may jump timing on you always change my customers cars around 50,,and have never had one go bad in between the times i change them,,and use a good quality belt too,,this is very important,,cheap belts,,are exactly what they say they are cheap,,and wont last,,i mechanic for a living,,i hope this help,s.|||2 times a year|||every 50 000 miles and you will have no problems
