HI, ive just bought my Peugeot Speedfight 2 Iron-x today for 拢750, 57 plate, 3700 miles, imaculate condition. I was just wondering what I can do to it to make it faster? and what sort of makes should I buy for exhaust and stuff. Also what sort of performance should it get after the change, Thanks!|||You sell it and get a faster bike.

Start off with basics - Which are legal aswell!
- New Variator
- New Rollers
- New Exhaust - Gianelli, Technigas, Doppler are some great brands - Make sure you get a 'E' Marked exhaust as other will void warranties and not get passed in your M.O.T, and will destroy your engine withour specialist parts.
All these parts can be bought from Adreneline Pedstop , which is a great site i reccomend, do not listen to what others say, even though these bikes are made to be slow , they are restricted , and adding parts proffesionanlly is a safe option if you dont take things to far.
Speedfights are good strong bikes , they react to mods very well, and everyone does it! , with was i say to put on you will easily get 45 - 55 mph.
If that isnt enough get it de-restricted, but this will damage your bike overtime , but its your choice!|||Ignore anyone who states that you shouldn't change Silencer etc!
Fit a Gianelli sports Silencer or similar, and fit Malossi Variator, Clutch and Transmission Belt.
I've modded loads of Speedfights over the years, and find that the changes are extremely reliable.
I don't advise fitting Bigbore kits though, as carburation (jetting mainly) takes a lot of trial and error!

What is the name of the song on the peugeot advert?
The advert is a few years old, but it featured a blue peugeot driving through the city. The Car its self was HUGE and driving through a normal size city, so the car is the same size as the buildings roughly.

What is the small spring for on my 1997 Peugeot 106 attached at one end only to the throttle?
In the engine department of my Peugeot 106 (1997) there is a small spring, about one inch long, attached to the throttle cable mechanism, but hanging down and not attached at the other end. Can someone advise me where the other end attaches to please? I can see that it was attached at both ends at one time but the unattached end of the spring has stretched and 'uncurled' so has come away from somewhere.|||The spring you are describing is used to give tension to the throttle cable. Maybe now that the spring has broken, you don't feel a stiff pedal? Is your accelerator (gas pedal) pedal kind of 'sloppy' ?
I have replaced this spring myself on the Peugeot TU engines of the 205. Your 106 also has a TU engine .
IF you can wait until tomorrow, I will take a photo of this spring, and the NORMAL shape of a good spring for you. but now, it is 22:50pm here in Belgium, and I can't take a photo in the dark.
Yes you are right, the end of the spring has broken off and fallen away. It's not a serious, dangerous problem at all..but a new spring will help you. a screwdriver is all you need to replace it. TWO small screws...Wait for my photo tomorrow.....trevor.

How to tell if a head gasket on a peugeot 206 needs replacing?
What are the signs to spot to see if my head gasket needs replacing? I have a 5 year old peugeot 206?
Thanks :-)|||1) It's leaking oil from where the cylinder head is placed on the block (oil will be streaming down the side of the engine block).
2) You are losing power under acceleration and the engine has at least one cylinder that fails a compression test (this is indicative of several problems, not just head gasket failures).
3) There is water in your oil sump. The oil will have a grey-brown color when you drain it.
That's all that I can think of. #1 and #3, you can check yourself; #2 requires a compression gage that fits into the spark plug hole.
HTH|||Usually when the head gasket is bad the engine temperature is very high because the engine oil is mixing with the radiator's water/coolant and cannot properly cool the heat of the engine.
You can easily check if that's happening: Locate the engine's oil cap (that hole where you fill/add the engine's oil) on top of the engine unscrew it and if you have a bad head gasket you'll see some kind of foam or a brownish sediment under the cap, that means the water and oil are mixing. But if the engine's temp is normal, perhaps you'll need to consider another problem with the car and not the head gasket.

Where is the water in the radiator of my Peugeot 306 going?
I recently bought a 1993 Peugeot 306 diesel. The car is fine and runs great, but the water level in the radiator drops dramatically in just a couple of days. There are no signs of an external water leak, so where could it be going? I have to put about 2 to 3 pints of water in the radiator every three days or so.|||306's are famous for the heater matrix splitting, its worth looking to see if the passenger footwell is wet? Thats generally where the water ends up. If it is, you'll need to replace the heater matrix, unfortunately, expensive to have done, and a sod of a job to do yourself! Good luck|||Well, someone could be correct when he refers to mixing water with the engine oil because of a bad head gasket but also could be that the car is getting too hot and the water just evaporates. It's not very recommended to use water in your car's radiator instead you should use coolant because it has a higher boiling temperature and protects the water pump and other engine components. Also, the radiator could have a small hole where the water is escaping. Have someone to look under the car for a brownish spot in the bottom of the radiator and hoses. Change the water for coolant and don't let the temp needle pass over 105 degrees.

I have a peugeot speedfight 2 liquid cooled and it is not starting so I checked the coolant and it was empty I have heard it might be anti freeze but I don't really want to put it in my bike as it might mess it up.

They are handy to use for short trips.|||your engine is broken because of overheating.|||Coolant is a 50/50 mixture of distilled water and anti-freeze. You can buy distilled water at a pharmacy or some hardware or auto parts stores. You can also buy 50/50 premixed anti-freeze instead of mixing it your self.
A lack of coolant will not prevent a motor from starting. But you may have already damaged your motor by overheating, and the loss of compression would make it hard or impossible to start.
