If I wanted to buy a Peugeot RCZ and have it shipped here to the US, would I be able to register it and drive it on our streets legally? Or would I have to modify it in some way. Or for that matter, any other European car like the Ford Focus RS or anything like that.|||Not all European cars are qualified for USA roads...
Mostly smog compliant BS.
Some foreign cars are brought into the USA by servicemen [military guys].. that are not USA market compliant.
These are known as "gray market" cars.. They are a headache to be made legal. Some backward states will allow you to slip through the cracks and drive them. But expect beaurocratic BS the whole time.
