How often do i need to change my cam belt in a peugeot 206?

how many miles can a peugeot 206 do before the cam belt needs changing?|||the correct answer to this question can only be determined by the owner of the vehicle doing a check on the cam belts condition on a weekly basis, some belts are given average usage lifespan but there are other factors to consider , heat, cold rain , chemical, salt

etc all can affect the lifespan of any belt.|||Everytime it breaks.|||petrol engines : 56,000 miles or sooner

diesel engines : 72,000 miles or sooner|||The company spec for gas engine says every 80,000Km (50,000 miles) but I myself preferred to change it on 60,000Km (about 37,000 miles) because if it fails, suddenly will stop the car!

It's good advice to change its cam belt after a full service (oil, air-filter, batt. check, etc.)|||you should at least change it at least every 50 thousand miles,,just to be safe,,anything over and it might get you in a spot where you cant change it,,or worse it may jump timing on you always change my customers cars around 50,,and have never had one go bad in between the times i change them,,and use a good quality belt too,,this is very important,,cheap belts,,are exactly what they say they are cheap,,and wont last,,i mechanic for a living,,i hope this help,s.|||2 times a year|||every 50 000 miles and you will have no problems
