What are the pipes for that go nowhere on the engine of my Peugeot scooter.?

I have just bought a Peugeot Sum Up 125cc scooter and I notice on the top of the engine that there are 2 rubber tube pipes that go no where. What are these for? Should they be connected to something and if so what? All help greatly appreciated.|||it maybe a vent for gas or something. i have the same on my dirt bike and that is what it does for mine/
