How do I fix the wing mirror on my Peugeot 106?

The wing mirror of my 1997 Peugeot 106 was knocked off and is hanging by its internal wiring. I need to either fix it back on or get another one. But how do I go about fitting it?|||Try :

I hope this helps.|||take it to a car mechanic?|||You bought a Peugeot now take it to the dealer and pay the piper.|||May be simpler to replace the car.

Take it along to a decent dealer who might give you a good trade-in offer and buy a car with problem-free side mirrors.

;-)|||You shouldn't need to have to remove the full inside door trim.

You probably only have to (carefully) unclip the small plastic trim from the inside of where the mirror fits, then there will be three bolts that fit the mirror to the door. Undo those, and the mirror comes off (may be easiest to do with the window open, so you can hold the mirror while undoing the bolts on the inside).

A new (or scrap-yard sourced) mirror will bolt on the same way.

There's probably a rubber seal between mirrir and door too - if the new one doesn't have one, re-use your old one.

Then replace the plastic trim on the inside (may need a light bang with a fist), and you'll be good as new. Should take 5 minutes.|||you may need to remove the door trim

but once you have done that they are normaly held on with three bolts.

yes you will have to replase the hole unit

you may get one from a moter facters|||I take my car to the service department. Call and ask for parts, tell them what you want to do, let them fix it.|||I would take neils advice.

second hand mirrors are about 拢10 new are about 拢30 - 拢40|||It's a peugeot. Get a different car instead of sinking more money in it.|||a garage will only charge you 10-15 quid plus the mirror to fit it, is it really worth getting your hands dirty?
