Any ideas to why my Peugeot 106 key fob remote control central locking does not unlock the driver door?

Basically when I press the button on my key fob to unlock/lock my 3 door 1998 Peugeot 106, only the passenger and boot doors respond. The driver door does not. The central locking only works when I insert the actual key into the door manually to unlock the car......Anyone got any ideas to why the driver door does not respond to the remote control central locking but the other doors do?!

Thanks in advance!|||Either the lock motor is either not receiving a signal, or is not working adequately.

Does it lock properly with the fob? If it doesn't, then it is possible that there is a fault in the wiring to the motor, look at the wires that get bent as they go into the door.

If the motor is receiving a signal, but it is not high enough voltage, check the connections between the lock motor and the central lock controller.

If you want to check the lock motor, it is just two pins, one positive and one negative for locking, and other way around for unlock.

Try with it connected to the lock mechansim and disconnected. If it works only when disconnected, try lubricating the lock.

|||Could be a duff central locking motor in that door. Take it to a garage to get it checked.
