Is a Peugeot 206 legal in the United States?

I'm thinking about getting a Peugeot 206 and i want to know if its legal in the United States before i buy one and have it sent here. Can anyone help me?|||Or course it's legal, obviously you need to register it (I don't know the procedure for this in the US). you should contact your state transport department and ask there.
